For the entire month of June, Menton will be celebrating its gardens and parks, the symbol of this resort known as 'the Pearl of France'. Around 60 guided tours will be provided complete with expert commentary from gardeners, owners and lecturer guides.
Menton invites you to explore its exceptional green spaces that are particularly luscious in late spring. From Monday to Friday, you are cordially invited to join one or two walks in Menton's spectacular and highly-specialised gardens, ordinarily off-limits to visitors.
EXPLORE EXCEPTIONAL GARDENS
Come and explore the garden at the Palais Carnolès, the former summer residence of the Princes of Monaco, with its collection of citrus fruits in a dazzling array of yellows and oranges, and its old vegetable patch. Wander through the Villa Maria Serena garden overlooking Menton. Its garden bears testimony to an era in which local vegetation was sacrificed in order to offer winter holidaymakers the illusion of exotic flora. Soak up the atmosphere at the Madone greenhouse built by an English botanist.
This little slice of heaven on earth features a luxurious mix of native and imported plants. Step inside the Fontana Rosa garden, once the villa that belonged to writer Blasco Ibanez. Under the canopy of its heavy trees, the garden's ceramics are evocative of Spain, the writer's homeland. The Val Rahmeh garden lets visitors dip in and out of different continents. Sit back, relax and watch as these incredible gardens' secrets unfurl...
